Occupational Health Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Rochester, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No Saturday shifts
• Floating required to other WorkReady locations as needed

Specialty

• Employee Health / Pre-Employment Health Assessments
• Skills include assessment and medical history/record review, immunizations, blood titer collection, urine drug collections, respirator fit testing, and TB assessments
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, adaptability, dependability, and punctuality required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience in Occupational Health nursing
• Respirator fit testing experience

Additional Notes

• Candidate must complete all health-related requirements and lab work within 5 days of signing the contract
• Floating to other locations may be required
• Some certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit assignment
• Facility-specific onboarding modules and attestations must be completed prior to start
• Fingerprinting and additional background checks may be required if assigned to Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Home Health Aide, or Long-Term Care units
• New York State-specific requirements include sex offender registry search, Medicaid exclusion list check, and disciplinary action search as applicable

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience in employee health or occupational health nursing, who is comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment, and is open to travel assignments.
