Registered Nurse - CVICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Patient Population: Post Open Heart Recovery Unit, thoracotomies, esophagogastrectomies, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Unit Details:

Post Open Heart Recovery Unit
Procedures include CRRT, Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
Target Ratios: 1:1 night, 2:1 weekends
Float requirement: Yes
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment; prior traveler experience required (no first-time travelers)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience in management of dysrhythmias
Experience with Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) experience
Post-cardiac surgery care experience directly from the OR
Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan Ganz monitoring experience
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) experience
Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD) experience
Arterial line management experience
Blood product administration experience
