Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (05:45 – 18:00)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Position in the Emergency Department (ED) covering a combined Adult and Pediatric general ED setting.
• Requires working 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week.
• Level III trauma experience required at minimum; candidates with Level I or II trauma experience are also considered.
• Accepts first-time travel nurses.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 90 days of start, including SS trace, county searches (7 years), nationwide sex offender check.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start (can be completed on-site if necessary).
• Negative TB test (T-Spot or QuantiFERON Gold) within 45 days of start; chest x-ray required if prior positive TB.
• Immunizations/vaccinations or positive titers required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccination, or history of disease)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with chain of custody within 30 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); declinations not accepted.
• Colorado CAPS (Child Abuse and Neglect) check results required prior to start and updated if there is a gap of 30+ days between assignments.
• Photo for badge required.

Additional Notes

• CO CAPS Release Authorization form must be completed within 48 hours of signing and CAPS clearance must be on file before starting.
• Facility does not offer STABLE certification course on-site; STABLE is required for Labor and Delivery but may pend if applicable.
• Candidates unable to complete fit mask test prior to start may complete it on-site at Occupational Medicine.
• All documentation and certifications must be verifiable through primary source online verification.
