Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Sacramento, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a dermatology outpatient clinic setting.
- Provide care for common and complex skin conditions including Acne, Eczema, Hair disorders, Psoriasis, Bullous Disease, Skin Cancer, Wound care, and other uncommon conditions.
- Experience with general dermatology, MOHS surgery, dermatologic surgery, phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, laser surgery, tele-dermatology visits, and cosmetic dermatology.
- Perform sterile procedures and setup.
Schedule
- Day shift, Monday to Friday
- 8 hours per day (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
- 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience, with experience within the last year
- Experience in a clinic and outpatient setting
- Experience with sterile procedures and setup
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Compliance and Onboarding Requirements
- Valid driver’s license/state ID (clear, legible copy required).
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start (7-year search including SSN trace, all counties/states lived/worked, sex offender and nationwide criminal search).
- E-Verify compliance required.
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
- Physical exam clearance within one year of start.
- Fit testing for N95 masks within one year of start (onsite fit testing may be available if prior testing not possible).
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years, no declinations accepted).
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or two vaccines after age 1; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal.
- Hepatitis B titer required; if negative, signed declination or vaccination series accepted.
- Varicella: Positive titer or two vaccines after age 1; booster if titer negative/equivocal.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required by November 1.
- Tuberculosis screening: Negative QFT Gold or TSPOT within 90 days of start, or 2-step PPD as specified; if positive history, chest x-ray and TB questionnaire required.
- Completion of unit-specific competency exams and core training modules prior to start (including medication/pharmacology competency).
- Signed confidentiality statement and HIPAA training confirmation required before start.
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start.
- Employment application covering last 3 years with explanation of gaps over 6 months.
- Two clinical references required, including one from most recent or recent employer within 6 months.
- Badge pickup required prior to orientation (during business hours, Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4 PM).

- Candidates must be prepared to complete all required documentation and training in a timely manner to ensure clearance for start.
- Prior travel experience is not required for this role.
