Job Description

  • Outpatient pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist position
  • Preferred experience working with Autism, developmental delays, fluency, language delays, and voice disorders

Shift Details

  • Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
  • 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist experience

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
  • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per California law)
  • Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
  • Employment verification for up to 7 years required; gaps over 30 days must be explained
  • Two professional references required within 3 years for clinical candidates

Certifications and Verifications

  • State license verification required within 30 days of start
  • Official transcripts/diplomas or attestation of verification attempts may be required
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance for work and any work restrictions documented
  • TB screening: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days of start or 2-step PPD testing; renewed annually
  • Immunizations required or proof of immunity for:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (series or signed declination)
    • Varicella
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
  • Fit mask test required within 1 year of start and renewed annually (specific mask types accepted)
  • Respiratory safety clearance required and renewed annually
  • Color blindness exam required if applicable (in-person exam only)
