Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech

Position Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour days (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Call rotation averaging 10 days per month, including weekends
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (facility may low census/cancel 36 hours per contract)
• Locals Accepted: No (candidate must live more than 70 miles from facility)
• Pending License: Accepted at manager's discretion
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Epic experience required

Clinical Requirements & Skills

• Experience with Outpatient, Inpatient, and Adult ICU settings required
• Proficient with PACS, C-Arm, Contrast, and Biopsies
• Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrogram, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, genitourinary (GU), abdomen and pelvis, and upper/lower extremities
• Must be able to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils
• Must be able to use micro catheters and micro wires
• Must be able to use Snare Kits
• Must be able to use injector systems, preferably ACIST

Holiday Requirement

• Must be available to work 4 out of 8 major holidays:
  Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, December 26, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

• I9 verification and E-Verify required

• Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace, 7-year county and nationwide search, sex offender search
• State-specific background checks as applicable
• Primary source license verification and NURSYS verification required
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (fit testing done onsite during orientation)
• Fit testing required annually; must be clean-shaven for fit test at this facility
• Drug screening within 12 months required
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TB test or chest x-ray within 5 years
  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (annual)
  • COVID vaccination preferred
  • Hepatitis B, Mumps, Rubella, Rubeola (Measles), Varicella documentation required
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and assessments required
• Post-start orientation checklists and assessments required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start required
• Skills checklist required
