Job Opportunity: PET CT Technologist

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform PET/CT imaging procedures with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Interpret physician orders and select appropriate imaging parameters to produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
  • Work in various settings including outpatient centers, mobile units, and hospital-based facilities.
  • Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and adherence to radiation safety regulations.
  • Document properly when handling radioactive materials and patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, customers, and radiologists.
  • Train new technologists and troubleshoot imaging equipment including scanners, monitors, PACS, and coils.
  • Utilize GE Discovery PET/CT equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of PET/CT experience (higher end of 1-2 years specified).
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Dual South Carolina PET/CT license required.
    • Nuclear Medicine credentials through NMTCB or ARRT required.
    • CT credentials through NMTCB or ARRT required.
