Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapist - Hilo, Hawaii

Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Description

• Provide continuous airway management including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support.
• Perform physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care.
• Care for patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
• Utilize equipment such as computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, PB 980, PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Ventilator.
• Shift: Day Shift (06:30 - 19:00), three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours).
• No guarantee of hours.
• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday.

Requirements

• Licensure:

  • Current State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapist license required (or application already submitted).
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) with NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred.
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiopulmonary/respiratory therapy.
  • No first assignments (prior experience required).
• Other:

  • Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start.
  • Prior travel experience is required.

Additional Notes

• Must be able to start on time and attend required health clearance appointments before beginning the contract.
