Job Opportunity: Labor Nurse with Postpartum (PP) Experience

Location: Port Lavaca, Texas
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) with a Level One designation for Maternal and Neonatal Care.
• The department handles approximately 15-20 deliveries per month.
• The unit is typically staffed with 2 nurses, all skilled in Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum (PP), and nursery care.
• Strong assessment skills and experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) are essential.
• Experience in rural healthcare settings is highly desired.
• The electronic medical record system used is OBIX.
• Housing may be challenging due to local construction and tourism; RV accommodations are commonly used by travelers.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Nursing (Labor & Delivery with Postpartum)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP, ATT
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years (based on additional info)
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
