Registered Nurse (Inpatient Medical) - Travel Assignment

Location: Boys Town, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts)
Weekend Rotation: Yes

Job Overview

Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced inpatient medical setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes and adapt to new clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care across all age groups, tailoring care to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation according to hospital policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Assist with discharge planning and review processes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support readiness for accreditation surveys.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current, valid RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (must be current within 6 months). Specialty certifications are preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience (pediatric experience preferred).
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Additional Information

• This is a travel nursing position requiring flexibility and adaptability to new clinical settings.
• Weekend shifts are part of the rotation schedule.
