Day and evening shifts
Schedule
- 4x10-hour shifts
- Sundays required on the set schedule
- Holidays required unless approved time off is arranged in advance
- Call is offered but not required
- Opportunity for overtime
Required Qualifications
- Anesthesia Technician (2 years of experience)
- Anesthesia Technician experience within the last year
- BLS
- Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) via ASATT or Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) via ASATT
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric experience
- Experience with GE anesthesia machines and Mindray
Work Setting
- Anesthesia tech role in the surgery department
- Supports 38 rooms across main OR, CVOR, CCL, L&D, Endo, EP lab, and imaging areas
- Anesthesiologists and CRNAs are in house 24/7
Responsibilities
- Clean anesthesia machines
- Set up circuits and perform anesthesia machine checks
- Wipe down machines
- Manage inventory, Omnicells, and supply cabinets
- Restock and move supplies as needed
- Assist with art line setup
- Respond to OB stat, anesthesia stat, trauma, and stroke alerts
- Does not start IVs
Additional Details
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Very rare floating within the department to other ORs
- 3 shifts of department orientation
- Scrubs and locker provided
- Bring own OR shoes
- 30-minute response time for call if assigned
