ICU Registered Nurse
Location
- Freeport, Illinois
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 13-week assignment
- Every other weekend
- Holiday rotation
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Job Details
- ICU unit with 8 beds
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2–3
- Nurses are expected to run codes
- Floating may be required to MedSurg, Telemetry, and the ER with a full patient load
- Charge nurse takes an assignment
- Hospitalist coverage is available 24/7
- RT equipment is available
- Nurses are responsible for telemetry strips; there is no monitor tech
- Orientation includes 2 twelve-hour shifts
Additional Notes
- Previous travel experience is highly preferred
- Meditech experience is a plus
- Code Blue Command RN and phlebotomy experience are a plus
- Professional scrubs in any color are allowed
