Dosimetrist Position – Omaha, Nebraska

Job Details

Specialty: Dosimetrist (Radiation Oncology - Dosimetry)
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
Call Requirement: 1-hour response time
Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None
Work Environment: External Beam Radiation Therapy planning only; no Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) used
Patient Load: Approximately 60 patients on treatment
Equipment: Varian TruBeam and Edge systems

Job Responsibilities

Develop external beam radiation treatment plans
Present treatment plans to Radiation Oncologists
Perform quality assurance related to dosimetry
Use Eclipse for external beam planning (3D, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT)
Utilize Aria for record and verify systems
Work with Epic hospital EMR, PACS, MIM, and Radformation software

Required Qualifications

Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Dosimetry training and certification
Experience with Eclipse and Aria systems
Valid driver’s license at time of application (used to verify candidate location within 50-mile radius)
Compliance with fingernail policy: artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas

Additional Information

Candidates may not currently be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with certain large healthcare systems within the 50-mile radius
Department-specific orientation provided onsite by department management
Dress code: Gray scrubs or business casual attire
