Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide respiratory care including ventilator management, nebulizer treatments, EKGs, BiPAP/CPAP, and bedside spirometry.
• Use equipment such as Drager ventilators, Respironics BiPAP/CPAP, Smart Vest, Micronebs, Mortara EKG carts, computerized charting, and Pyxis medication system.
• Work across multiple hospital departments including ED, ICU, Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, OB, and Family Care areas.

Schedule

• Days and nights available.
• Both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
• Every other weekend and possibly holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Respiratory Therapist license (RRT via NBRC).
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS and NRP certifications required.
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
• Competency in care and treatment of all ages.
• Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize daily duties.
• Must be able to work in all hospital departments listed above.

Additional Information

• Basic orientation includes hospital specifics, floor layouts, equipment storage, respiratory care department overview, hospital and department policies, and brief computer training.
• Dress code: Gray scrubs.
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
