Job Opportunity: Interim Leader - Med Surg

Location

Kirksville, Missouri

Position Type

Interim Leadership (Travel assignment)

Contract Length

13 weeks

Work Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Friday, with on-call coverage as needed
24-hour accountability for ICU unit
No floating required
No 48-hour guarantees
No blocked scheduling

Unit Details

ICU beds: 10
Medical-Surgical average daily census: 20
Electronic Medical Record system: MedHost

Role Summary

Provide overall leadership and management of ICU and Medical-Surgical departments
Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and operational excellence
Provide strategic and operational leadership, including staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, and service line development
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and staff development
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance staff engagement
Drive innovation in critical care services

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
