Assignment Overview
- Travel nursing assignment in Austin, Texas
- 13-week contract
- Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekends
- No call
Unit Details
- Antepartum/postpartum unit
- 24 beds
- Typical staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 clerk during the day
- Patient ratios are typically 3:1 and 4:1, with occasional 2:1 depending on acuity
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Antepartum experience
Preferred Experience
- Previous labor and delivery or antepartum experience
Common Responsibilities
- Non-stress tests
- Hyperemesis management
- Insulin drips
- Magnesium administration
- Heparin drips
Work Environment
- Teamwork-oriented
- Good communication skills
- Navy blue scrubs required
