Required Qualifications

Valid Radiation Therapist license in Florida
Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
2 years of Radiation Therapist experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ARRT (RD)
ARRT (CT)
Associate degree in radiologic technology
CT Technologist experience

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of a CT technology certificate program

Job Responsibilities

Review patient history and physician orders
Educate patients about procedures and equipment
Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications when ordered and within scope of practice
Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status
Prepare equipment and supplies
Perform safety standards and quality control procedures
Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions
Position patients and perform imaging procedures
Analyze imaging results and address image quality issues
Enter, transmit, and report scan results

Additional Notes

May float between X-ray and CT departments
