Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: Nights (1900-0730), 3 shifts per week, rotating days, every 3rd weekend, rotating holidays
Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
Call Requirements: No call
Unit Information
- Unit: 3 West Post-Surgical
- Number of Beds: 34
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Patient Population: Post-op patients from general surgery including bariatric surgery, plus overflow medical patients
- Equipment: Pyxis
- EMR System: Epic
Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical, Post-Surgical
- Number of Openings: 1 (night shift)
- Float Requirements: Float to similar med-surgical units based on rotation and needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically in Post-Surgical and Medical-Surgical nursing

- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required; no unacceptable attire specified
Additional Information
- Education modules will be assigned upon hire and must be completed before reporting to the floor
- Reporting Location: Main entrance/Door 12, 3rd floor Post-Surgical Unit; parking available in yellow spaces
