Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position
Location
- Portland, Maine
Position Details
- Unit: P3CD (Medical-Surgical)
- Shift: Night shift
- Weekly Hours: 48 hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Number of Beds on Unit: 29
- EMR System: Epic
- Float Requirements: As needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Job Responsibilities
- Manage chronic illness and disability needs
- Perform daily physical assessments and assessments with changes in patient status
- Administer medications as ordered
- Update and review care plans weekly
- Update and review patient education weekly
- Document clinical notes as needed
- Ensure patient safety and advocate for patient well-being
Work Environment and Dress Code
- Scrub color: Any color allowed, but must be fragrance free
- Weekend hours: 36 hours per week (unless otherwise noted)
Additional Information
- Position equivalent to approximately 4.8 night RN roles on the unit
- Current contracted night RN staff on unit with contracts ending mid-2026; no renewals planned
