Dietician (Nutrition) – Travel Position
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day
Hours per Week: 32 (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Facility Type: 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital
Job Description
- Provide clinical nutrition assessment and care planning for admitted patients, prioritizing high-risk referrals.
- Ensure complete and timely documentation including assessments, care plans, education, and discharge planning in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Oversee menu management to align with therapeutic diet orders and patient needs.
- Educate managers and staff on therapeutic diets, food allergens, and related topics; act as a subject-matter expert.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nursing, speech therapy, case management, and Food & Nutrition Services to optimize patient outcomes.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, audit readiness, and policy updates related to clinical nutrition and food service operations.
- Maintain patient safety and privacy, adhering to infection prevention and allergen-control practices.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist license in Wisconsin
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Dietetics or a corresponding nutrition-related field

- No weekend or call requirements.

- Equipment used includes Meal Tracker; Electronic Health Record system is EPIC.
- Orientation dates available throughout the year.
- Scrub color is flexible (all colors acceptable).
- Parking available in hospital lot.
