Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Unit and Patient Population

• Surgery floor
• 5 beds with 1:1 patient ratios
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric

Specialty Areas

• ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Endoscopy (Colonoscopy, EGD)
• Gynecology, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Urology, and Podiatry

Common Procedures and Diagnoses

• Total joint replacements
• C-sections
• GI bleeds
• Laparoscopic hernia repairs
• Appendectomy and cholecystectomy
• LAVH (Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy)
• FESS (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery)
• Tonsillectomy & adenoidectomy (T&A)
• Thyroidectomy
• Colonoscopy and EGD for GI bleed, food bolus removal, and dilations

Schedule and Hours

• Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• On-call: 1 weekday and 1 weekend day per month

Required Certifications and Experience

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Endoscopy Technician experience required

Equipment and Systems

• Stryker towers and Stryker Scopis
• Medtronic and Olympus scopes (OER PRO)
• Electronic Health Records: Pinpoint CQI, Medhost

Additional Information

• Weekly orientations provided
• Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
• Scrub color is furnished
• Weekend hours and call requirements apply

• Small surgical unit with a variety of specialty cases
• Exposure to a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
