MRI Tech - Radiology

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

MRI Department with 3 MRI units
Staff: 1 current staff member; day shift has 3 techs, night shift has 2 techs
Patient volume: Average of 32 MRI exams per day
Equipment: GE MRI machines, including 2 new GE Artist machines
EMR system: Meditech / CPN
Work environment: Very busy department with strong teamwork

Required Qualifications

Minimum 6 months (0.5 years) of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
Current ARRT (MR) Certification
BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with GE MRI equipment
Level 1 trauma experience
Critical care experience

Typical Procedures

Administer contrast agents
Operate MRI scanners to produce high contrast images
