Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Unit Information

Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Number of Beds: 24
Number of Staff: 46
Patient Ratios:
- 1:2 typical
- 1:3 for PCU boarders
- 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity patients (IABP, CRRT, open hearts)
Staffing: 1 CCT/US during day shift if more than 10 patients
Documentation System: EPIC
Scheduling: Straight nights or 50/50 shifts
Floating Policy: May float to PCU or as a sitter anywhere in hospital inpatient

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Utah
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification

Typical Procedures and Skills

Rapid Sequence Intubations
Central line placements
Bronchoscopy
Intubation
Arterial line placement
Chest tube placement
Experience with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, arterial lines, and other ICU skills

Additional Information

Personality Fit: Outgoing, team player
Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
