Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work on a 36-bed pulmonary telemetry unit focused on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders.
Nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:6.
Provide specialized care for patients with various lung diseases or injuries.
Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy departments.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
Shift options include 36 or 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry within the last year.
Current AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification.

Additional Information

This is a patient-facing clinical role.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
Parking is available.
Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals as needed.
