Job Opportunity: Medical Technologist (Travel)
Location: Key West, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Requirements
- Must have a Florida medical technologist license at the time of submission
- ASCP Generalist certification required
- Blood bank experience required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Certified Medical Technologist credential required
- AHCA certification required for Florida placements
- Must have secured housing at time of acceptance
Job Description
- Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of disease states
- Follow standardized procedures and prepare samples for testing
- Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits
- Utilize limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Perform a variety of tasks with some creativity and latitude
- Typically reports to a manager or supervisor
Additional Notes
- Facility may consider a Medical Lab Technician for this role (with different pay rate)
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical technology field is expected
