Position Details

- Unit: Respiratory Care, Main Hospital
- Unit Size: 478 beds
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM, every other weekend
- Floating: May float to nearby campus as needed
Unit and Work Environment
- Assignments based on patient volume; RTs assigned directly to patient care units
- Equipment includes PB980 ventilators, V60 NIV, and F&P high flow devices
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Level 1 trauma center with a new fleet of mechanical ventilators
- Ongoing emergency department expansion project
- Positive, family-like team culture emphasizing support, teamwork, and work/life balance
- Dress code: Navy scrubs
- Patient experience standards: AIDET communication and exemplifying core values
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by NBRC
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Experience and Skills
- Critical care experience preferred
- Procedures performed include bedside bronchoscopy
