Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: None
• Number of Openings: 1
• Float Requirements: As needed
• Patient Population: All ages
• Unit Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios:

  • ESI 1, 2, & Horizontal 3s – 4:1
  • ESI Vertical 3s, 4, & 5 – 7:1
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): MedHost

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in emergency services
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • NIH Certification
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in New Mexico
• Additional State Requirement:

  • Fingerprinting and background check required before hire (14-day waiver possible with supervision)

• Department: Emergency Services (Trauma Level IV)
• Typical Diagnoses/Treatments: High acuity emergency care
• Preferred Experience: Emergency Department, Critical Care, Trauma
• Personality Fit: Positive attitude, flexible, willing to teach
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear and other facility-branded clothing are not acceptable
