Job Opportunity: RN - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
Shift: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Saturday rotation every 6 weeks
Call Requirements: At least 40 hours per 6 weeks
Number of Openings: 1
Float Requirements: Must stay within the OR unit

Required Qualifications

Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Operating Room nursing (higher requirement confirmed)
Prior Travel Experience: Required
Certifications: BLS, NIH, Kentucky Nursing License

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 31 Operating Rooms
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Equipment: Mako Robot, DaVinci SP & XI Robots, O-Arm, Rosa Robot
EMR System: Cerner

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of OR experience
Strong skills in managing high acuity surgical patients

Patient Population

Neuro (spine/cranial, navigation)
Orthopedics (including robotics/arthroscopic)
Thoracic and Vascular (complex cases)
Transplant patients
ENT/Radical Neck procedures (complex)

Personality Fit

Very flexible and adaptable
Willingness to learn and take on various tasks
Positive, can-do attitude
Willingness to expand knowledge and work across service lines

Scrubs provided by facility
Facility is an academic medical center with advanced heart care and transplant programs
Recognized for numerous medical firsts and advanced surgical technologies

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses who have prior travel experience and are looking to work in a high-acuity, technologically advanced surgical environment.
