Travel Registered Nurse - NICU

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel


Job Details

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOCs)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend (as needed), holiday rotation
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (except during holidays when unit is closed)
  • Float Requirements:
    • Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital & Mukwonago
    • May float to Mom/Baby unit and throughout hospital as sitter if not needed in NICU
  • On Call/Call Back: None

Unit Information

  • Waukesha Memorial Hospital NICU: Level 3 NICU (everything but surgical), 16 beds in a 52-bed unit
  • Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital NICU: Level 2 NICU (32 weeks & above), 5 beds

Required Qualifications

  • Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact license
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Minimum 2 years Level III NICU experience required
  • EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months
  • Prior travel experience preferred (at least 1 travel assignment completed)
  • Mom/Baby experience a plus
  • Transport experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Scrub color: Blue (supplied by hospital)
  • COVID-19 vaccine required unless medical or religious exemption applies
  • Must be adaptable, resilient, and able to manage change well
  • Candidate should be social and able to work collaboratively
  • Float assignments will not require working outside clinical skills without approval

This position is ideal for NICU RNs with solid Level III NICU experience looking for a travel opportunity with night shifts and some floating responsibilities.
