Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Travel)

Location: Albany, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM EST (12-hour night shifts)
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week (except orientation week)
Orientation: Biweekly, first week day shift
Float Requirements: Yes, float to acute care, cardiology, or Emergency Center as needed (mid-shift floats uncommon)
Weekend Requirements: Rotate every other weekend
Holiday Requirements: Must work 2 out of 3 holidays
On Call/Call Back: Rare
Break: 30 minutes

• Patient Ratios: 1:6 (days and nights)
• Nurse Aides: Yes, CNA ratio generally 1:8 to 1:10
• Uniform: Caribbean blue or white scrubs

Requirements

• Education:

  • Associate’s degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • GA or compact RN license required
  • AHA BLS required
  • AHA NIHSS required
  • AHA ACLS highly preferred

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years solid experience on a Medical-Surgical unit (travel experience preferred)
  • Recent experience with Sickle Cell and PIV insertion required

• EMR Experience:

  • Meditech Expanse experience preferred but not required (training provided)

Additional Notes

• Radius rule: 75 miles
• Potential to float to North Campus (1.8 miles away)

Prior travel experience: Preferred but not explicitly required.
