Registered Nurse - PICU
Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: 11.5-hour Night Shifts (7:30 PM - 8:00 AM)
Schedule: Rotating 3-4-3-4 schedule, approximately 40.25 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: Yes, to units within appropriate acuity (Pediatric Float Pool including General Pediatrics, PICU, and Neonatal ICU)
Job Description
- Work within a Pediatric Float Pool covering General Pediatrics, PICU, and Neonatal ICU
- Must wear navy bottoms with white top and dark shoes, or all white scrubs with white shoes
- Experience required in a large academic teaching hospital setting
- EMR experience required
- Compliance and credentialing process takes approximately 4-6 weeks before start date
- Flu and COVID vaccination required with no declinations allowed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Additional Notes
- Interviews include a Voice Advantage interview and Nurse Manager screening
- Offers are valid for 48 business hours and will be rescinded if not confirmed within that timeframe
