Registered Nurse - PICU

Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: 11.5-hour Night Shifts (7:30 PM - 8:00 AM)
Schedule: Rotating 3-4-3-4 schedule, approximately 40.25 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: Yes, to units within appropriate acuity (Pediatric Float Pool including General Pediatrics, PICU, and Neonatal ICU)

Job Description

Work within a Pediatric Float Pool covering General Pediatrics, PICU, and Neonatal ICU
Must wear navy bottoms with white top and dark shoes, or all white scrubs with white shoes
Experience required in a large academic teaching hospital setting
EMR experience required
Compliance and credentialing process takes approximately 4-6 weeks before start date
Flu and COVID vaccination required with no declinations allowed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Additional Notes

Interviews include a Voice Advantage interview and Nurse Manager screening
Offers are valid for 48 business hours and will be rescinded if not confirmed within that timeframe
