Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with pediatric experience to work in various pediatric care areas including NICU, PICU, ED, and general pediatrics. Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and providing emergency care as needed. Candidates should be comfortable working with ventilated patients.

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including within the last year
Minimum 3 years of pediatric respiratory therapy experience
Experience working with pediatric patients, including vented patients in NICU, PICU, and pediatric general care
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to work 36 hours per week on 12-hour rotating shifts, including every other weekend and holidays
Call requirement (details to be discussed during interview)
