Radiation Therapy Technologist

Overview

• Long-term assignment in Springfield, Massachusetts
• Location: D’Amour Center for Cancer Care
• Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Candidate must be flexible and willing to adjust hours as needed to support business operations

Role Summary

• Responsible for the safe administration of high doses of ionizing radiation under the direct supervision of the radiation oncologist
• Acquires and analyzes data in preparation for patient treatment
• Uses imaging technologies to localize the treatment area
• Participates in treatment planning as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Serves as a primary liaison between patients and the radiation oncology team
• Assists in communication with other health care providers, including social work and dietitian
• Provides patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care while remaining sensitive to patient needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Massachusetts
• Radiation Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• ARRT (RT)
