Location: Golden, Colorado
Employment Type: Non-Nursing Clinical
Shift: Day (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Assemble, clean, disinfect, sterilize, and store procedure and surgical trays and equipment.
• Assemble, distribute, and deliver disposable and durable medical equipment, case carts, and supplies to Operating Room, Nursing Units, and Ancillary Departments.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment.
• Disassemble carts and follow Universal Precautions for decontamination.
• Sterilize, disinfect, package, and maintain records for instruments and supplies.
• Assemble sterilized instruments and inspect for cleanliness and damage; check power equipment.
• Track instruments using labeling, engraving, and documentation of missing instruments or implants.
• Communicate inventory status and order updates with Central Processing staff and Surgery Charge Nurse.
• Respond to emergencies by ensuring timely delivery of supplies for trauma and add-on cases.
• Use technology and applications to maintain records in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Provide on-the-job training to new associates.
• May be required to work overtime, float to other departments within competency, and be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician within the last year.
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
