Job Opportunity: Home Health/Hospice Clinical Nurse I (RN)

Location: Newport Beach, California
Employment Type: Local Contract (Clinical Nursing)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Work Setting: Home Health and Hospice (home visits required)

Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act to patients in Home Health and/or Hospice settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe, timely, and quality patient care.
• Perform physical assessments, IV and infusion therapy, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administration, specimen collection, nutritional needs management, patient teaching, and discharge planning.
• Utilize evidence-based nursing processes and adjust care plans as needed, consulting appropriate resources for ethical, legal, or medical dilemmas.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of acute clinical nursing experience
• Minimum of 2 years of Home Health experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Hospice nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver’s license with insured, reliable automobile for home visits

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospice nursing experience is preferred.

Additional Information
