Overview

Role Summary

• Provides outpatient cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) as a Cardiovascular Sonographer / echocardiographer role.
• Responsible for pre- and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment, emergency cardiac care, and possible post-procedure transport assistance.
• Performs heart and/or vascular ultrasound imaging.
• Maintains equipment, completes quality assurance monitoring, and troubleshoots equipment issues.
• Prepares procedure rooms and equipment between procedures.
• May provide staff training and education.
• Monitors patient information, maintains report storage and data systems, and prepares charge-entry reports.

Required Qualifications

• Cardiac Sonographer experience with 2 years of experience.
• Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
• RDCS or RCS or RCCS or ARDMS or CCI.
• Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a twelve-month ultrasound program.
• Experience in an outpatient setting.
• Experience with Epic.
