Interventional Technologist I

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10-hour shifts (40 hours/week) with rotating day off per week

Job Summary

Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions without surgery. Procedures include cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization, and pain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers during interventional procedures, acting as a scrub tech and maintaining a sterile field.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide comfort.
• Operate and maintain specialized radiologic equipment, including quality control and cleaning.
• Transfer images and data to electronic health systems and document technical findings.
• Conduct post-procedure quality reviews and assist with audits and performance improvement.
• Provide on-call clinical coverage on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• Support teaching and mentorship of students and new team members.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of a post-secondary health science program as defined by ARRT or CCI, OR an Associate Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology, OR a 2-year RCIS program

Certifications & Licensure

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
