Location: Wheat Ridge, Colorado
Employment Type: Clinical Non-Nursing
Shift: Day (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis, primarily focusing on breast ultrasound procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams following department protocols, ensuring image quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Verify patient identity and orders; prepare patients for exams.
• Maintain documentation and accurate records of procedures and any adverse reactions.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and related information systems.
• Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort.
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology technicians in exam protocols and procedures.
• Follow infection control and sterile techniques.
• Perform vascular procedures and maintain cleaning standards.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Breast Sonographer experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• High School Diploma or GED.
