Surgical Technician - California (Mammoth Lakes)

Job Summary
- Assist with surgical procedures by performing scrubbing duties.
- Prepare for procedures and maintain sterile supplies.
- Create and maintain a sterile field.
- Inspect sterile items for contamination before use.
- Anticipate equipment and supply needs before cases begin.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and air-powered equipment per manufacturer instructions.
- Scrub all surgical procedures, including specialty surgeries such as sports medicine and trauma, without sales representative presence.
- Assist RN with operative charge completion and hardware recording.
- Collect specimens and cultures, verifying source and tissue identification with surgeon.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
