Required Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
3+ years of experience in a very busy hospital
Prior travel experience
Experience with CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tubes, ventilators, and surgical drains/sites
Ability to titrate drips
Must be flexible with scheduling
Every other weekend availability
Must be open to floating
Must be able to read telemetry strips

Unit Details

SICU
12 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2 to 1:3 depending on acuity
Intensivist on unit days and/or nights
APP coverage 24/7
Respiratory therapy coverage 24/7
Charge nurse may take a full assignment depending on staffing
Patient care techs are intermittent and census-dependent

Scheduling and Work Expectations

No self-scheduling
Floating may include other ICUs within the hospital
Weekend requirement: 4-6 days in 6 weeks
Orientation: 2 shifts

Dress Code

Teal bottoms
Black or printed coordinating scrub top
No fleece jackets
No shellac, dip, acrylic nails, or overlays
Unchipped regular nail polish is allowed
