Nights, 12-hour shifts
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license, or eligibility to apply for the 90-day Oregon Emergency License if not already licensed
BLS
ACLS
PALS

Unit Details

ICU with 5 beds
Typical ratio: 1:2-3
Unstable ventilated patients: 1:1
Must be comfortable caring for all age populations, including occasional stable pediatric patients

Clinical Experience / Skills

Ventilator management
Drip titration
Titrating drips is required
Common titratable drips include heparin, vasopressors, Bumex, insulin, and sedation/analgesia

Schedule Expectations

Every other weekend
If placed on low census, expected to report within 30 minutes of call

Support on Unit

Supervisor available 24/7
Charge RN takes a patient assignment
Hospitalist in house
Respiratory therapy in house 24/7

Floating

May be asked to assist in other departments as helping hands if not fully cross-trained
Optional full cross-training to other departments may be available

Orientation

3-6 shifts, longer if needed
