Role

Registered Nurse in a Family Birthing Center
Travel assignment in Redding, California
Shift: Nights
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS
ACLS
NRP
AWHONN
2+ years of experience

Unit Details

Family Birth Center with 19 postpartum beds, 12 labor and delivery beds, 2 operating rooms, and 1 PACU
Cares for low- and high-risk deliveries
Level III NICU on site
No telemetry
No vents
No IV team
RT available 24/7
Pharmacy available 24/7
Laborist on site 24/7

Schedule and Work Expectations

3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
Holidays are worked into the permanent staff holiday rotation
First to float
Floating may include pediatrics and NICU, with NICU limited to feeders and growers if that experience is present
Circulating is not required

Additional Information

Proctored dysrhythmia test on day one for telemetry, L/D, emergency, and critical care RNs
Advanced fetal monitoring is listed in the source
COVID vaccine required
Scrubs are provided by the hospital

Great hospital. Kind and friendly staff.

Cons

The cafeteria is a hit and miss. Some days they have great sea food with saffron rice! Some days microwaved food :D. But there is alwaaaaays, pizza available ;)
