OR Tech

Overview

• Location: Seattle, Washington
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts, variable days Monday-Friday
• Hours per week: 40
• Unit: OR Tech
• OR suites: 22, with capacity to go to 26 across 3 floors
• Average cases per day: 50-65

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Washington
• CVOR Technologist (1 year of experience)
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• Experience working with Cardiac patients
• Experience working with Transplant patients
• Davinci XI experience (Gyn, Uro, General)
• ENT (FESS (sinus), septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy in addition to soft tissue - thyroid/parathyroid) experience
• Surgical Technologist experience

Preferred

• CST national certification is not required

Schedule and Call

• No self-scheduling
• Start times: 0630, 0900, or 1100
• Same start time kept consistent within the same week
• 1 call total per 4-week schedule
• Weekday call runs from end of shift until 7am the next morning
• Weekend call is 24 hours, 7am to 7am
• Call is rotated between staff and travelers
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Call room is available

Floating

• No floating requirements

Orientation

• 2 days with a surgical tech
• Includes HR and OR leadership orientation

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are teal and provided
• Travelers may extend
• First-time travelers are okay
• Parking is paid by the traveler; garage parking has daily and monthly options, and transit is available
• The hospital does not reimburse parking
• Bring your own earphones for the first week of online training onsite
