Job Overview
- Temp position
- 40 hours per week
- Day shift, Monday–Friday
- No weekends or holidays
- Provides educational support to employees on all shifts, including mid and second shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- HSPA or CBSPD
- Manager (1 year of experience)
- Manager experience within the last year
- Experience in Supervisor roles
- Educator experience
- OR - Operating Room experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Multilingual skills beyond English appropriate to the employee populations served
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate orientation, continuing education, and in-service programs for staff
- Implement training and orientation programs, including job shadowing, formal classes, and support for new employees and affiliating students
- Follow up with trainees and orientees to ensure competency and integration into their technical roles
- Prepare and train new CPD staff to follow department practices and policies
- Evaluate and interview job candidates and make recommendations on fit
- Coordinate clinical rotations to the Operating Rooms
- Evaluate department training needs and develop training programs
- Track, analyze, and report on enrollment, completion patterns, and related training activities
- Educate staff on new CPD technologies and policy/procedure changes
- Coordinate CPD programs such as competency, orientation, in-service, and employee records
- Monitor progress of staff preparing for certification exams and maintaining certification
- Assist with quality improvement, research, and incident reporting follow-up
- Maintain current knowledge of CPD technology, sterilization-related standards and practices, and adult education methods
