Trauma/Ortho/Surgical RN

Overview

• Travel RN assignment in Johnstown, Pennsylvania
• 13-week contract
• Rapid start: must start by 10/26
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Can accommodate 48 hours/week upon request
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Call: none
• Float scope: must be willing to float to a unit with a comparable patient population
• Unit: 9th Floor, 44 beds across two nursing stations/units
• Trauma Level 1
• Patient population: adult, trauma, ortho, urology, colorectal, surgical
• Patient ratio: 6:1, up to 7:1

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• Med Surg experience: 2 years
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• Trauma experience
• Experience with Epic
• Ability to manage a 7:1 patient ratio
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test and a math of dosage test before being on the unit
• Complete and clear screenings prior to start
• Pennsylvania clearances and fingerprints must be submitted before clearance, including:

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Department of Human Services fingerprinting
  • FBI Department of Aging fingerprinting
  • PA State Police clearance

• Orientation is weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered travel

• No facial piercings other than a one-sided nose stud; hoops are not acceptable on the face
