Unit Description

42-bed Cardiac Medical Unit focusing on Cardiac Telemetry
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Patient population includes cardiac patients (chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, arrhythmias), medical patients (pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, occasional stroke), and surgical patients
Requires willingness to float to other units and hospitals

Work Schedule

36 or 48 hours per week
Every other weekend required
Holidays as required

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
