Job Opportunity: RN - Telemetry (Travel)

Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), Every Other Week (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH)

Job Description

• Provide patient care on a PCU/Telemetry unit using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and interpretation, IV insertion, lab draws, medication administration (including cardiac medications), Foley insertion, vital signs monitoring, assessment documentation, and point-of-care testing (blood glucose).
• Follow floating requirements as needed.
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide supervision to assigned personnel.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe care delivery.

• Number of beds: 30
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• EMR system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Blocked scheduling may be requested
• 48-hour guarantees are NOT available

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
• Minimum years of experience: 2+ years
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
