Travel RN - Emergency Room

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (48-hour shifts)
Schedule: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Unit: Emergency Department

Number of Beds: 32+
Staff: 117 total
- Day Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, 1 PCT
- Mid Shift: 2 CNCs, 15 RNs, 2 Medics, 2 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, 1 PCT
Patient Ratio: 4:1
EMR System: Meditech
Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Job Description

Must float to facility FSEDs as needed
Typical procedures: Lumbar puncture (LP), Intubations, TNK administration, Laceration repair, Suture removal, Splinting
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs and navy blue zip-up sweater; pull-over sweatshirts not allowed
Team environment: Great team player, anticipates patient and department needs

Requirements

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Room
Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
Certifications (must have by start date):
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
