Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Therapy

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel


Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Anytime between 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM start through 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM end
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Rotating weekends at least one per month

Unit & Patient Information

  • Inpatient Rehab Unit
  • 44 beds
  • Patient ratio: 1 OT to 4-5 patients
  • Unit staffing: 10 OT/PT teams, 1 tech available
  • Floating policy: May float to the acute hospital therapy department
  • Patient caseload: Approximately 60% neurological diagnoses
  • Mix of long-tenured and newer therapists, all motivated and committed to learning and education

  • Multiple patient ceiling lifts
  • Bioness UE Functional Electrical Stimulation and BITS
  • Diego, XCITE Functional Electrical Stimulation
  • RT300 FES Bike

Documentation System

  • Meditech Expanse

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Stroke Rehab experience required/preferred
  • Hospital-level inpatient rehab experience preferred

Certifications & Licenses

  • PT License required
  • BLS certification required

Dress Code

  • Black scrub pants and royal blue top
