Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

• Unit: Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient Population: Medically delicate and surgically complex patients including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.
• Average Patient Load: 3 high acuity patients

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Certifications & Skills:

  • ACLS certification required
  • Competency in advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols
  • Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics
  • Familiarity with arterial line (a line), central venous pressure (CVP), external ventricular drain (EVD), orthopedic traction, and infection prevention protocols
  • Experience with HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, and oxypendent devices
• Experience: Nurses with large scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU experience preferred
• Additional Requirements:

  • Epic experience REQUIRED
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Competency test required within 24 hours of submission

Contract Length

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Care for some of the most medically complex patients in the region
• High acuity critical care setting

This role is ideal for experienced critical care RNs comfortable with complex medical and surgical cases, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and working in a fast-paced PCU environment.
